Children's Ministry

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14).

Children’s Sunday School Class –

The Children’s Sunday School Class will meet each Sunday, at 9 am in the Wings Classroom.  If you would like to help, please contact the church office or Delisa Staton.  Please prayerfully consider being a part of this ministry as we look toward a bright future at St. Paul’s Waccamaw.

Faith Friends’ is a new program at St. Paul’s Waccamaw UMC. Through ‘Faith Friends,’ members of our church reach out to our youth and children, to connect, and share our love and faith. ‘Faith Friends’ stay in touch, pray for each other, encourage one another, and meet for a sandwich at church one day, for example; chat and have fun, and enjoy being on a faith journey together.

If you have a young person who would like to have a ‘Faith Friend,’ please contact the church office at [email protected] or 843-237-2294. And, any of our adult members who would like to be a ‘Faith Friend’ to a youth, please let us know.

What a great way to encourage the next generation as you grow in faith together. For more information, contact Carolyn McGill.

Special Worship Activities for Children

When you arrive for the 8:45 a.m. Worship Service or the 11:00 Worship Service, please invite your child to pick up a worship bag from the cross in the narthex. The bag contains crayons, coloring pages, notepads and more. Simply return these as you leave.

During the 11:00 Worship Service, we offer a ‘Children’s Time’ message for children for ages pre-school through second grade. Following ‘Children’s Time,’ our little ones are invited to ‘Children’s Church’ in the Education Building where they learn about worship, practice serving as an acolyte, hear a Bible story, act out a puppet show, create a craft and have a snack. Volunteers are always welcome.
